Do you think you could write a novel over WhatsApp? YA stars Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan did just that. Come and hear about the origins of their collaborative verse novel, We Come Apart, a powerful, modern-day Romeo and Juliet. Sarah Crossan received the 2016 CILIP Carnegie Medal for her verse novel One, which also won the YA Book Prize, CBI Book of the Year Award and the CliPPA Poetry Award. Brian Conaghan's most recent solo novel, The Bombs That Brought Us Together, won the Costa Children’s Book Award, and his debut, When Mr Dog Bites, was shortlisted for the CILIP Carnegie Medal, Peters Book of the Year and CBI Book of the Year Award.
